The club hosts major annual tournaments, which include the Plett Polo International, the South African Open and the African Ladies Open. There are also weekly smaller tournaments one can be a part of.

These events attract the well healed members of ‘the high society’ from Johannesburg, Cape Town and the Garden Route.

Sponsors play a critical role in our Club, without them the ‘circle of support’ would not be possible. A number of sponsorship packages are available for a range of tournaments and events. We will work with you to ensure you get maximum exposure for your investment.

Polo Festival

The Polo Festival is the highlight of our season and the Plett social calendar, attracting nearly 3000 spectators (and growing) each year! This event offers many opportunities for your company to gain great brand exposure and enjoy some fantastic hospitality.

Tournaments & Day Sponsorship

All tournaments are available for sponsorship with the finals generally falling on a weekend and being played on the world renowned Kurland Pavilion, the only one like it in the world! Options for this include branding, prize presentation and hospitality. Each tournament is different and can be tailored to suit your needs.

Product Placement

Plett Polo’s environment can work for you to subtly place your product in the minds of the clients that visit annually.

Long Term Sponsorship

Sponsor a polo field, with branding on the boards and around the field and even have the field referred to in your company’s name.

Season Sponsorship

The smaller things are often the most important. Honour the most important part of polo by sponsoring the ‘Best Playing Pony’ awards for the season which are presented at each tournament on finals day.

Goal judges and their flags, goal posts, chukka clock, vehicles, umpires clothing and other season equipment can be branded to make a lasting impression at the polo.
